This year the staff in school have been working towards achieving the 'TinyLearners' award from TinyLife, Northern Ireland’s premature and vulnerable baby charity. This has involved all staff members taking part in training, which aimed to raise awareness of prematurity. This award promotes awareness of the impact of prematurity on development and learning, supporting pupils who have been born prematurely or who started life in a neo natal unit, to reach their full educational potential. Following our training we have a bank of strategies to best support children who were born prematurely.
